Elite Dangerous Station Number Signal Notes
- View in a Spectrogram I’m using Friture to do a live viewing.
- My computer seems to like doing reading of 20Hz to 24000Hz – Not sure if more is possible
- Comes from the antenna at the back of all stations but Imperial Stations and some Outposts
- Most likely encoded as digits do not repeat
- Not fully sure we know which digit is which
- it is the digits 0 – 9, A – Z (nothing else seen)
- spaced about 5 seconds apart (4.67sec)
- Can be heard if you listen
- are repeated by flipped around the 12000Hz mark (great for seeing symbols covered by other noise.)
- There is other “Noise” behind some of the digits. This is a repeating noise as it would appear each time you see that digit
- Does not appear at newly constructed station that are not fully online yet. (Colonization built)
- Waiting to test when a new station becomes fully online.
- Appear to be handwritten letters and numbers, but some are just weird. Some are smaller than others, etc.
- Some people say they do not repeat (haven’t verified myself, but it appears to be correct)
- Wonder if a program can be made to listen and write into a text file the digits.
TO DO
- Check new stations coming online -There once they are online fully.
- Check Generation Ships
- Check the oldest stations (if known)
- Check land-based settlements (if possible)
- Really try to figure out which symbols go with each digit some its clear others it is not I think this is key.
